Privacy Policy

In short: LifeForest needs no account, has no ads or third-party analytics, and does not track you across apps. Your forest is stored locally. When you choose an AI feature, the relevant goal and practice context is sent to an AI service to generate the result. Apple and RevenueCat process subscriptions.

1. Who we are

LifeForest (“the App”) is developed by Gentleflow (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains the App's data practices. Contact gentleflowoverseas@gmail.com with privacy questions.

2. Information the App handles

• Local profile and practice data: nickname, goals, planning answers, skill trees, nodes, routines, check-ins, notes, mood selections, practice duration, streaks, settings, reminder preferences, and feature-usage counters.
• AI inputs and outputs: when you use an AI planning, coaching, reaction, suggestion, adjustment, or checkpoint feature, the App sends the context needed to answer. Depending on the feature, that can include goals, planning answers, tree names and reasons, node details, practice rhythm, completion standards, recent check-in text, dates, minutes, mood, and derived progress. AI-generated responses return to the App and may become part of your local forest data.
• Subscription data: product, transaction, entitlement, country/region, and device/OS-related information handled by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not receive your payment card details or Apple Account credentials.
• Technical data: when an online AI or subscription service is contacted, its provider may receive ordinary request metadata such as IP address, timestamp, device/OS information, request status, and usage counts.
• Photos and shares: if you tap Save, the App requests add-only photo-library permission and writes the generated forest card you selected. If you tap Share, Apple's share sheet sends the card only to the destination you choose. The App does not read your photo library.
• Notifications and widgets: reminders are scheduled locally after permission is granted. Forest data is shared locally with the LifeForest widget through an Apple App Group container.

3. How and why we use information

We use this information to save and display your forest, personalize practice paths and reminders, generate AI-assisted content you request, provide widgets and sharing, verify subscription access, restore purchases, prevent service abuse, troubleshoot failures, and meet legal obligations. We do not use IDFA, serve ads, sell personal information, or track activity across other companies' apps or websites.

4. Storage and service providers

• On-device storage. Your forest data is encoded in the App's private local/App Group storage. LifeForest currently has no Gentleflow account or iCloud-sync service.
• OminiGate and upstream AI providers. AI requests pass through OminiGate to the selected model provider. OminiGate states that prompt and response bodies are not stored by default, while usage metadata and brief operational logs may be processed. Its upstream providers may also process requests. See OminiGate's Privacy Policy. Please do not include secrets, government identifiers, financial account data, medical records, or other information you do not want processed by an AI service.
• Apple. Apple processes App Store payments, subscription records, system notifications, photo-library writes, sharing, and optional App Store diagnostics under Apple's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat. RevenueCat verifies and restores purchases and manages entitlements. It may process a pseudonymous App User ID plus transaction, product, country, device, OS, IP, and service-event information. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

5. Diagnostics

If “Share With App Developers” is enabled on your device, Apple may provide us with crash and performance reports through App Store Connect. Such reports may include technical diagnostics Apple makes available under your settings. LifeForest contains no third-party analytics SDK and no advertising SDK.

6. Retention and deletion

Local data remains until you reset it in the App or delete the App and its related local container. Temporary share images may remain in system temporary storage until iOS removes them. AI providers, Apple, and RevenueCat retain their records according to their own policies and legal obligations. To request deletion of data, if any, that Gentleflow can reasonably associate with you, email us. We may need purchase or request details to locate it; some transaction records cannot be deleted where law requires retention.

7. Your choices and rights

• Do not use an AI feature if you do not want its displayed context sent to an AI service.
• Change notification or photo permission in iOS Settings.
• Use privacy controls before sharing a forest card, and choose its destination through Apple's share sheet.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions.
• Reset local progress in the App where available, or delete the App.
• Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, or to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. Contact us to exercise an applicable right.

8. Children

LifeForest does not ask users to create an account and is not designed to solicit a child's contact details. AI text fields are free-form, however. A child who cannot legally consent to online data processing in their location should use AI features only with a parent or guardian's permission and should not enter identifying or sensitive personal information. If you believe a child submitted personal information, contact us so we can evaluate the request with our providers.

9. Security and international processing

We use platform protections and encrypted HTTPS connections, but no system is completely secure. Online service providers may process data in countries other than yours under their safeguards and applicable law.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as the App or its providers change. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date.
